I sailed some on foreign ships. Not much, but I had to get from place to place sometimes. One of my worst experiences was shipping out on a Greek ship. I shipped out of Bombay and was headed for France, for Marseilles, and I jumped ship and hid in Arabia. I either had to jump ship or kill half the crew or get killed myself so I left ship there. It was a misbegotten crew from all the ports of the world, you know, and I had a very rough time.
